Celtic had a quiet deadline day, something which is unheard of. While other teams felt compelled to jump into the market last minute, Celtic’s decision-makers were relaxed knowing they had carried out their business early on in the window.

This highlights another positive change that Postecoglou has implemented at Celtic. Before the window had even opened Ange had three J-League signings lined up ready to pull on the hoops. Later in the window, Celtic announced the signing of Johnny Kenny and Matt O’Riley.

Outgoings are expected to continue, not all transfer windows are shut with some countries transfer window’s open for as long as two more months.

In past years, Celtic have been busy with deadline day deals, it was nice to know that the club had their business wrapped up. However, heading into the summer there are areas that will need strengthening.

Depending on if Jota and Carter-Vickers sign permanently, Celtic may need to look for replacements. The left-back area is also a cause for concern, Celtic do not have great quality in that area in my opinion.

All in all, fans will be pleased with the club’s activity this year. Completing business early is something fans have wanted for a long time, so the fact that this has happened will please many.
