The big keeper was kept away from first-team action down south for well over a season until Neil Lennon came knocking. Now the keeper has a smile on his face again and the adulation of millions of Celtic fans.
The keeper has put in man of the match performances now against Lazio home and away as well as the cup final. The Celtic management team must do everything they can to bring big Fraser home on a permanent basis.
Celtic have been blessed with keepers in the last few seasons. Scot Bain looked irreplaceable last season, it was only when he got injured that Neil Lennon went looking for cover and that has worked out remarkably for everyone involved.
His Southampton teammate Elyounoussi might be out of reach in terms of wages and transfer fees. The Norwegian international has also impressed with a string of goals that came to a blunt stop after he picked up an injury.
