Celtic B defeated Rangers B on penalties at Ibrox last Wednesday.

The Bhoys drew 3-3 in 90 minutes but triumphed 4-3 in the penalty shootout as Josh Clarke pulled out some terrific heroics.

As well as the young ‘keeper and the likes of Adam Brooks and Rocco Vata, there was also a Celtic teen who caught the eye.

Tsonaelo Letsosa signed for Celtic at the tender age of 12. Originally hailing from Lesotho in Southern Africa, the 18 year old has been a B team regular in 2022/23.

This campaign, the vibrant midfielder scored three goals and assisted five in 32 Lowland League appearances and caught the eye midweek.

In the engine room, Letsosa was involved in some nice combinations and played a number of forward thinking passes.

He was quick on to several loose balls and was constantly energetic.

Few talk about Letsosa with the likes of Summers, Vata and Brooks gaining a wealth of, deserved, in fairness, publicity.

Going forward, though, it would be great to see Letsosa gain some first team exposure.

For a long while, he has been impressing in the youth ranks and with three league games left that frankly don’t matter in terms of the overall outcome of the season, Postecoglou may well reward Letsosa with some deserved first team game time.
