CELTIC have a lot of midfielders but for the most part, Brendan Rodgers gets full use of his squad and rotates the team in order to keep them as fresh as possible.

However, there is one midfielder at Celtic that just isn’t getting a game and has been subject to interest from clubs in Scotland and down south. With the January window fast approaching, the club are said to be more receptive to offers for their fringe stars.

That puts Liam Henderson right in the firing line.

The 21-year-old seems to have been around the Celtic team forever, with the youngster getting his start at a very young age under Neil Lennon, then getting more game time under Deila.

Loans to Rosenborg and Hibernian has also improved the young man’s talent but it hasn’t been enough to get into Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Neil Lennon is reportedly ready to test his former clubs resolve with a bid for Liam in January.

Hibernian tried and failed on the last day of the summer window but are keen to bring Liam in for their top three tilt after the winter break.

They face competition from a couple of sides, most notably Mark Warburton’s Nottingham Forrest who have had him scouted for some time.

Liam is no doubt a talent but if he isn’t getting game time at Celtic then he must now look at all his options, and if the club are not going to feature him then it might be time for a mutual parting of the ways.
