You would be forgiven to think that during Wednesday night’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Glasgow rivals Rangers, that Ange Postecoglou would have had his full-strength squad on display after the level of performance his side put on.

Of course, as Celtic fans will know, there are still a number of players missing from that squad which makes the nature of the win all the more impressive.

The players missing from last night’s squad included Kyogo Furuhashi, Tom Rogic, David Turnbull, Nir Bitton – all players who have had an impact on the side this season, particularly Kyogo, arguably one of our best performers.

There is also January addition Yosuke Ideguchi, who we, unfortunately, haven’t been able to see enough of yet due to injury. I suppose you could also include a half-fit Daizen Maeda, coming on to close the game out in the second half, but we are still to see the best of the Japanese internationalist in this Celtic side.

It is a scary/exciting thought of what Postecoglou will be able to do with a fully fit squad of players, given the level of performance he has got out of this group for the majority of the season, despite facing so many problems.

I look forward to seeing those players rejoin the squad when returning from injury. But for now, some of them might have a fight on their hands for a return to the side after the performances we have seen in the last few weeks.
