It is that time of year again, the now annual event of the Ibrox collapse. Nobody gives Celtic any credit for doing the same thing every season, keeping their nerve for a full season. Instead, they like to prop up the Ibrox team and next Liverpool/England manager Steven Gerrard.

Some Gers fans have accused their players of not returning from Dubai in 2020 and they are absolutely right.

People seem to forget too easily how long a football season is. The last two Decembers have seen some pretty pathetic premature celebrations from the Ibrox crew, now at the start of February the doom and gloom is back and everyone is a target for abuse from the hordes.

But that is none of our business, everyone at Celtic will be smart enough to know that the Rangers stuttery start only gives Celtic a chance to create a cushion for the first time this season in the league table and that cushion will have to be fought for starting today.

It is time now for the Bhoys to be ruthless just as they were this time last year and went on an incredible winning streak after the winter break. Today Neil Lennon’s side face an away trip against bottom of the table, Hamilton Accies.

The Bhoys blew St. Johnstone away within the first 30 minutes on Wednesday night and the Celtic boss will be looking for more of the same with his rejuvenated looking Celtic team.
