ANGE POSTECOGLOU has pointed out some major differences between now and the last time Celtic visited Ibrox back in August.

The Celtic manager was very new to the job at the time and his rebuild was very much in its infancy. The bhoys lost 1-0 on the day to their rivals in a closely fought tie. Celtic switched off from a corner and Filip Helander got the winner. Edouard also missed a sitter.

The manager spoke to the media ahead of the tie and pointed out some major differences and the players who’ve left since that game.

Ange said he took some huge positives from the game despite the defeat and since then, the Australian and his side have gone from strength to strength in the SPFL

Speaking to The Scottish Sun, the Hoops boss said: “We had our moments in that first game when we could have made an impact. But the team was very much in its infancy.

“We had Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie who left the day after the game. They made their moves south which we kind of knew was going to happen.

“You can’t afford to lose too many in the Premiership if you want to be successful. But we were able to take away the positives from the game, but you also understand you have to get results.

“It was a different kind of build-up this time as we’re a lot more settled now. The group’s in a good space. It’s probably the strongest group we’ve had since the beginning of the year in terms of fitness and form. But the challenge still remains the same. We’re going to have to be at our best to be successful.”

There’s a full Ibrox stadium who will look to throw the Celtic players off their game. It’s up to every single man in the Celtic jersey to stand up and be counted on the day.

We can’t have any passengers and we mustn’t give them an easy ride or a fast start.

Celtic have shown their more than a match for the home side; smashing the Ibrox club 3-0 back at Celtic park in August.

We can’t wait for kick off, these are the games where players can really make a name for themselves. Come on you bhoys in green!
