There was so much to talk about before, during and after the game it’s hard to keep track of it all, but there’s one thing that hasn’t been highlighted as much as it should have been after Celtic’s Tynecastle heroics.

Celtic are that used to injuries that the media and coaching staff are a bit numb to it. The bhoys were playing a midfield last night that has never played together in a competitive scenario. Filip Benkovic also out, Rogic, Christie and McGregor – this was a Celtic reserve midfield, but we digress.

The opportunity to come in and start the last two games has been down to injury but bhoy has Ewan Henderson took that chance with both hands! The young Celtic midfielder who only lately signed a new three-year deal with the club was inspired at Tynecastle much like he was against Motherwell at the weekend. His pass in the lead up to Celtic’s first goal is outstanding and his general play throughout the night before coming off in the second half was fantastic.

We are all talking about the managerial change, Edouard’s finish, the important win but Ewan’s performance must be highlighted. This is just the start of the youngster’s first team Celtic career, and he can only get better. Now that’s a mouth watering prospect.
