As Celtic get set to start life without Brendan Rodgers the importance of Neil Lennon coming in to make sure the bhoys stay the course can’t be underestimated BUT as we get set to welcome back our old manager on an interim basis there’s another man at Celtic Park who could prove even more pivotal for the rest of this season….Scott Brown.

The Celtic captain recently signed a new two-year deal with the club and is the heartbeat of the dressing room. Brown has seen managers come and go and since Brendan Rodgers came in, he has taken his game to new levels along with his influence on teammates.

Brown is a leader, he is a man who has been through every emotion there is to have at Celtic and he’s a man who has never walked away from the club. As Neil Lennon comes in, the players will be looking for Brown to bridge the gap just as Neil will.

In training today and in the game against Tynecastle tomorrow, his influence will be huge on the player’s who will be as rattled as the Celtic fans about Rodgers decision to cut and run.

There are choppy waters ahead but with Brown leading the team and Lennon back at Paradise, there’s enough blood and thunder to get us over the line.
