Listening to BBC Sportsound today, we heard from SPFL secretary Ian Balor who has confirms the new season’s fixtures will be out on Friday or the following Monday.
Blair also confirmed that last season’s Scottish Cup would be played to a finish before the year is out.
Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts are the four teams left in the competition with the semi-finals expected to take place at Hampden before 2020 is said and done. This would provide Celtic an opportunity to land a fourth consecutive treble if they could negotiate the two ties.

As for the fixtures, keep your eyes peeled. The season will almost certainly start without supporters and it’ll be interesting to see when they pencil in the first Glasgow Derby which will be at Celtic Park. The way it’s going at the moment, we could have an empty or only partially filled stadium for the game at Celtic Park with more chance of a full house in the reverse fixture.
We’ll provide the audio of Blair’s comments when the BBC upload the episode to iPlayer.
