ODSONNE EDOUARD was Celtic’s super sub against Ross County on Saturday with the Frenchman coming on in the 63rd minute to bag a quick fire double.
Neil Lennon confirmed this wasn’t by design and Edouard was on the bench because of a toe injury. The striker was in a boot on Friday before the game but trained on Friday night, claiming he was ok to continue.
The Celtic manager wasn’t confident the striker could see out the 90 minutes and decided to start with Leigh Griffiths up top.
After the game, Edouard limped off the pitch, still sore from his toe injury it would appear.
Neil Lennon has calmed fears the player could miss the trip to St Johnstone on Wednesday night.
?️ Neil Lennon: "@Oedouard22 had an x-ray last night and his foot was in a boot. We were concerned he wouldn’t do the 90 minutes but he looked fresh and had an incredible impact. He should be okay for Wednesday." #CELROS #SPFL
