The Daily Record pulled a story this afternoon they put up reporting Henrik Larsson had applied for the vacant Livingston managerial post opening him up to a sensational return to Scotland.

Larsson has been without a club since 2016 when Helsingborg were relegated from the Swedish top flight – sparking unsavory scenes at the end between the supporters.

The Records report (before it was deleted) suggested that Livingston had received an application from the Celtic legend but the club were concerned about the Swedes expectations over budget and wages.

It’s highly unlikely that this would be the case, with Henrik enjoying his roles in the media as he waits for the right opportunity to get back into football.

Managing Livingston will be no easy task for whoever takes over.

We’re guessing since the Record have now deleted the story, there was very little in it.
