Celtic winger Luis Palma has reinstated his commitment to the club, remaining consistent in his opinion that the tough times will eventually pass.
It comes after the wide-man bagged a brace while on international duty with Honduras last week.
At home in the first leg of his country’s CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final tie with Mexico, Palma netted twice as Honduras won 2-0.
It was an emotional moment for the 24-year-old, who recently lost his beloved grandmother.
The second leg of Honduras’ tie with the Mexicans takes place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Because he is his country’s on-form man, Palma was put up for media duties ahead of it.
The attacker was asked about his lack of playing time at Celtic and whether he is considering moving elsewhere: “Personally, these have not been months as I would have liked,” he admitted (El Heraldo).
“But the storm will pass, and calm always comes.”
To say Palma has been on the fringes of Brendan Rodgers’ first team this season would be an understatement. Indeed, the left winger has made only seven competitive appearances for the Bhoys in 2024/25 so far, amassing just 183 minutes of football.
While he struggles at club level, Palma excels on the international scene; in his last five games for Honduras, he’s contributed to seven goals.
It feels like he is a square peg in a round hole at Celtic, but the winger seems consistent in his desire to return to the heights he reached during his first few months with the club.
