CELTIC always looked in control, but it took a while for the bhoys to break down a resolute St Johnstone side.

With the St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clarke in inspired form, it looked like it may be one of those afternoons where you don’t get the reward your efforts deserve. However, Timothy Weah came on and changed the game for Celtic in a big way.

The USA frontman brought the ball down in the box before making a fantastic pass across the goal where an outstretched Forrest met the ball to put Celtic one up.

The provider would then turn goal scorer when an incisive breakaway towards the end of the game seen Sinclair, McGregor and Weah all combine to make it 2-0 on the day and secure all three points.

Celtic made sure they lept their six-point gap at the top of the table, even with the number of injuries they already had then suffered throughout this game. This squad just keeps going regardless.
