CELTIC won a closed-door friendly against Stenhousemuir on Tuesday night with the bhoys running out 6-0 winners.
We’ve already noted Leigh Griffiths double and Liam Burt’s hat-trick as well as Afolabi returning to the fold from injury.
However, there’s one thing that’s flown under the radar – Jack Hendry played his part in the game. Unbeknownst to a lot of supporters, Hendry has been struggling with injuries as of late and has had very little game time in the reserves.
The defender has not featured under Neil Lennon this term and isn’t likely to make the breakthrough under the Irishman. However, it’s worth noting Celtic’s defensive options are limited at the moment with Jozo and Elhamed out injured. There’s a scenario if Ajer or Jullien get injured where Hendry might need to play. Although, as we’ve seen before, Neil Lennon wouldn’t hesitate in putting in Nir Bitton before Jack.
The Israeli has adapted well to the role over the piece.
Here's tonight's team ?
