CELTIC will head out to Copenhagen on Wednesday ahead of their Thursday evening tie in the Europa League.

Unlike previous years at this stage of the competition, Celtic are considered favourites to go through. The bhoys were seeded after topping their very tough group which included Lazio, Rennes and Cluj.

The bhoys own two victories over Lazio home and away so Copenhagen should not hold any fear for the team but they should always be cautious.

Charlie Nicholas didn’t give Celtic a chance in many of the Europa League group stage games and regularly predicted they’d lose or at least drop points.

So we checked in to see if Celtic had managed to change his tune after some very good performances in the groups, proving him wrong on several occasions.

Nope.

Charlie has tipped us for a draw in Denmark.

“Copenhagen have lost three in a row, and there are a few players struggling with injury.” He told RECORDSPORT.

I expect Celtic to go through over two legs and they are favourites.

“Celtic have improved in Europe, taking the scalps of Lazio twice was a big turning point for them. There is still vulnerability away from home in Europe, so it is how they manage that which will be the key.”

A draw would be a credible result but this side have it in them to go for the win and any away record in the past shouldn’t eclipse the talent we have.
