JOSE MOURINHO’s odds have been slashed from 66/1 to 14/1 to be the next Celtic manager it has emerged.

However, the reason for this is clearly online chatter which has seen some people put a bet on it forcing bookies to lower the odds on it happening.

In reality, there’s nothing to the story other than punters having a big flutter on something so outlandish. Mourinho is without a club since being sacked by Manchester Utd and he won’t be short of options come the summer.

The bookies favourite is still Neil Lennon with the less than a month to go of this season.

The only winner in the Celtic managerial race so far has to be the bookies with so many names being thrown into the hat since February when Brendan Rodgers departed.

The club has stayed silent on the issue with Neil Lennon telling fans Dermot Desmond hasn’t spoken to any other potential candidates.

Paddy Power told SunSport: “It could be viewed as an odd move for Mourinho but, having linked himself with the jobs at PSG and Bayern, Celtic would fit with apparent approach of targeting one-club leagues.”

Ok.
