Some Celtic fans unveiled a ‘Get well soon’ banner for Alfredo Morelos during Celtic’s 4-0 victory over Motherwell.

Written in Spanish, the banner reads: “Mejorate Pronto Alfredo.”

This translates in English into: “Get well soon Alfredo.”

Alfredo has had a time of it the past week. From having his manager blame him for missing opportunities against Aberdeen, to his partner allegedly hiring a private investigator to track his car. Never a dull moment!

The player was also the focal point of an interview by Sky Sports which was translated very poorly by the Sports broadcaster. The subtitles suggesting he was incriminating Celtic fans in racist abuse when he said nothing of the sort.

Celtic released a strongly worded statement this week and asked Sky to investigate why such a bogus translation made its way onto their website and social media. The broadcaster has since apologised for the interview.

  1. Pathetic really- and not even original…I imagine these idiots think they’re clever when all they have done is to COPY the bigoted Sevco fans who did same to Stevie Clarke when he bravely spoke out against the sectarian abuse they gave him last year-wake up FFS
