CHRIS SUTTON had a go at his former manager and team-mate on the RecordSport podcast on Wednesday after Gordon Strachan and John Hartson got into a heated debate on CelticTV.

The argument was over Odsonne Edouard’s best position for Celtic with Hartson and Strachan disagreeing where Neil Lennon can get the most out of him. Chris Sutton believes the argument was ‘petty’ and they were both wrong because Edouard can play anywhere!

Sutton’s usual dry take on an argument there, but we find it hard to disagree with the BT pundit.

Edouard is a player who can turn it on in a number of positions and can play different roles with a team. The Henrik Larsson comparison has been made a few times, Martin O’Neill declared Eddy is the best since Henrik. Squabbling over Eddy’s best position was probably not the best use of air time.

Hartson and Strachan rambled through the pre and post-match talking points. It was good value for entertainment but I don’t think much sense was being made.
