Callum McGregor has spoken about ignoring the noise currently emanating from Ibrox as Celtic get ready to visit Govan on Sunday.

The midfielder who is no stranger to scoring against our Glasgow rivals but refused to be drawn into any talk about the cup game in a months time – making the point Celtic are focussed on the next game, the way it should be.

“They are obviously excited to get us in the cup again. We’re not looking at that. We know the tie is coming up in a couple of weeks, but we have the game on Sunday and we have big games coming up in between then.”

“They’re on a good run of form and maybe they fancy it. Always going to be part of Celtic-Rangers build-up, but we need to take ourselves away from that and prepare properly.”

McGregor has scored at Ibrox back last season in the 5-1 rout in front of their home support. He will be looking for more of the same come kick off Sunday if the player gets the nod to start,
