Celtic supporting Radio host, Alan Brazil, has claimed to have insider knowledge of who will be the next manager of the club.
The talkSPORT host, who initially criticised the appointment of Ange Postecoglou before later praising his work at Celtic, asserts that he knows who will be stepping into the Parkhead hot seat next.
While Brazil was unfamiliar with Postecoglou prior to his appointment, he claims to have inside information on the next managerial candidate.
He carefully explained that his source has provided him with insight into how the managerial search will be conducted, with the Celtic owner leading it.
He said: [TalkSPORT]
“I have a wee bit of inside information here. I’ll have to be careful what I say.
“I had a look at the betting. I don’t want to put people into putting a fiver on him and putting it on the wrong way.
“But do you know who will have a big say on who will get the Celtic job? This is going to astonish you, by the way, is Pep Guardiola. He is going to have a massive say.
“Do you know why? Him and Dermot Desmond are very close.”
“It’s Enzo Maresca, I’ve got it on good authority.
“I do know that Brendan Rodgers is odds-on favourite but it is interesting, Pep’s associations with Dermot.
“Dermot is a very clever guy.”
Reports on Wednesday night suggested that Celtic were waiting on Brendan Rodgers, hoping that they could persuade him to return to Celtic, who he won every domestic trophy available to him with.
Maresca is highly thought of in the City Group, despite his poor managerial stint with Parma.
It means he hasn’t got a Scooby. Every name under then sun is coming up. Let the board do its job.
