It was a game against Livingston earlier this season when Celtic fans were looking at the cold, hard reality of the rebuild.

Celtic were beaten by David Martindale’s side as the bhoys struggled to find consistency.

After that game, nobody was talking about the title for Celtic. Barry Ferguson was already looking to call the title race in the Ibrox club’s favour!

Fast forward to the present and since that Livingston defeat in the league the Hoops have embarked on a quite sensational unbeaten run in the league. 28 games later and the bhoys have not been beaten since that day at the Tony Macaroni. Ange Postecoglou’s men scoring 64 and keeping 16 clean sheets in the process. Back to back Glasgow Derby wins home and away and cutting down a six point deficit into a six point lead.

This wasn’t in the script. Celtic were in a mess!

The Eddie Howe fiasco meant when Ange did come in to sort things out, it was late in the day. we had to replace our star striker, our star defender, our captain and bring in a new goalkeeper.

We lost our chief executive through the season. We dealt with a ridiculous number of injuries throughout the first half of the season, especially.

Yet, here Celtic sit, on top of the league, looking down at The Rangers.

A win in the next Glasgow Derby effectively ends any sort of title race. It would put Celtic nine points ahead with nine remaining. Fingers crossed we can do it on Sunday, but if not, there’s still more time to get this title over the line.
