Celtic target and Airdrieonians winger Thomas Robert faces an anxious wait ahead of a possible move to Celtic Park with the club waiting until a new management team is put in place, including a Director of Football and Head Coach.

According to the Daily Record, Robert, who spent some time with the club on trial last month is being forced to wait for any possible contract offer from the Hoops due to the changes which are currently on-going at the club.

The young, highly-rated French winger has had a bit of a strange journey in football so far. He joined the Scottish League 1 side from Ligue 1 team, Montpellier where he spent time in their academy.

Robert is also the son of former Newcastle player, Laurent Robert.

Over the last few months, it has been reported that Celtic have been keeping an eye on the 20-year old with interest also coming from fellow Scottish Premier League sides Aberdeen and Dundee United.

It will be interesting to see if Robert is a player that the new management team decide to pick-up in the summer. The likes of John Kennedy and Nicky Hammond could be set for exits in the summer but they will likely play a part in offering their opinions when it comes to Robert.
