ANGE POSTECOGLOU must carry out the incredibly hard job of choosing who is included in Celtic’s European Conference League squad and who isn’t.

The manager can select three new additions to add to the squad but only at the expense of players currently in the European squad, as explained by moravcik67 on Twitter.

With four new first-team signings in January one player will have miss out at a minimum. Also, three players in the current squad must drop out.

Presumably, Postecoglou will look to take midfielders out of the squad. Liam Shaw has left the club on loan, so he will come out. Ange will likely decide to remove Soro from the list, along with Ajeti, and replace the Swiss forward with Maeda.

Which midfielders are added will be a tough decision for Ange. With Hatate’s debut performance, it’s hard to imagine he will be snubbed.

Ideguchi played well against Alloa and impressed many fans but Matt O’Riley is yet to play for Celtic. I would imagine the manager and his team will have to decide between the pair.

Once this squad is submitted, it can not be changed. No players can be registered after this round, no matter how far the team progress.
