NEIL LENNON has told Celtic fans there will be no quick return to action for Ryan Christie or Callum McGregor who will be out for a ‘few weeks’ which means the most of March will have to be negotiated without the pair.

Tom Rogic has been out injured since his return from International duty and hasn’t played a game for Celtic since Boxing day – his return is also expected to be the end of March.

Celtic seem to have a constant stream of top stars out and Callum McGregor is a particularly sore one. The midfielder has played 50+ games for Celtic already this season and had played every game this term up until his injury.

Celtic will have to go to Easter Road on Saturday with a similar team to the one who beat Hearts. Ewan Henderson has come in and stepped up to the plate and could keep his place for the Scottish Cup quarter-final.

The better news today is Filip Benkovic is back on the training ground.

  1. With two midfield lynchpins missing, Christioe, and Callum, we now have Mr Slow Bitton back in the fold. Hi is a holding midfielder/defence player. He does not link up wil with the forwards and immediately he takes the ball, play drops to walking pace, where we are closed down. Then we start to telegraph passes, lose the ball and have to start all over again. Eddie and Ollie made more runs darting forward looking for the tell tale pass to get a goal. Thankfully Broony did the job Bitton couldn’t achieve all night. Young Henderson is a brilliant prospect and deserves a good run in the team, allowing the forwards to get used to his probing passes.
