It was a disappointing afternoon for Celtic on Saturday as the Bhoys were defeated by three goals to nil at Ibrox.

In the match, the Bhoys were well below par and embarrassed themselves with a performance that in no way done the fans proud.

Here are three things we learned.

Ange Learns His Rotation Lesson

Ange Postecoglou made a number of alterations for today’s game.

Alexandro Bernabei came in at left back meanwhile Oh got the nod up front.

It is safe to say none of these changes paid off as the Hoops were terrible on the whole.

The performance was unacceptable and it is certain the Australian will have learned his lesson of how not to rotate on a wide-scale basis in a match of this stature.

Kobayashi Doesn’t Meet The Standard – Carter-Vickers Missed

Yuki Kobayashi started alongside Carl Starfelt in the Hoops defence this afternoon and like a lot of his teammates, was noticeably poor.

The Japanese is the third choice centre back at Celtic and today, looked shaky and out of sorts.

It is a concern that the 22 year old has not met the standard in the past few matches yet he is standing in for the tremendous and hard to replace Cameron Carter-Vickers who was widely missed.

Lack Of Fight And Desire A Concern

Few in the Celtic side showed any sense of hunger and fight this afternoon.

In a derby, these attributes are pivotal and the fact none of them were on show is a massive concern.

No matter the significance of the game, a Celtic player should at least look up for a derby game and few did today.

Despite these negatives, Celtic are champions and still have a potential treble to look forward to.

Nonetheless, the nature in which the Bhoys lost today was not impressive in the least.

  1. We will learn from this and improve, they will think they are better than us now and get complacent. Match was no big deal.
