Former Celtic star Chris Sutton is unable to do his usual BT punditry from the home stadium in Glasgow because his employers have been told by the Ibrox he is a security risk alongside former Celtic manager Neil Lennon.

Sutton always works on these evenings for BT Sports and has been taken aback by the reasoning behind him not being allowed in the studio at Ibrox.

BT Sport set up these Europa games at whoever is playing at home but cover both Glasgow clubs on the night.

Chris has taken to social media to make it clear he and Neil Lennon aren’t allowed inside the stadium due to Ibrox fans potential not being able to behave themselves if either are in the building. It’s pathetic and sad.

Neil Lennon would probably get a warmer welcome home at Ibrox after last season than he would at Celtic Park at the minute. I joke, but in seriousness, why is this an issue at all?

Why are the decision makers at the Glasgow club so afraid of allowing to former Celtic players in the door to do their job?

It’s incredible and speaks to the element of their support they pander to while simultaneously condemn.
