CELTIC are sweating on the fitness of a few players going into this Sunday’s Glasgow Derby, however, right now it looks like Kieran Tierney is winning the race to be ready in time for the derby match.

The defender went out on international break with his country but played no part in either games for the Scotland setup after an injury ruled him out of proceedings.

Kieran was sent back to Glasgow to Celtic after the first Scotland game in Kazakhstan when it was clear he wasn’t fit enough to take part. This sent alarm bells ringing for Celtic fans who were praying the international call-off was a precaution and as we head into this weekends crunch tie.

According to reports, the defender looks likely to start the game unless there was a setback during the week in training. Keiran is just off a long spell on the sidelines and the Celtic physios will be cautious and may alter his training to suit in the run up to Sunday.
