KIERAN TIERNEY left Celtic in the summer of 2019, heading to London to join Arsenal. He spent much of his first season sidelined with an injury, but he gained Arteta’s trust; he was soon a regular starter for the Gunners.

The player has been a standout performer for club and country and has shown many qualities in his game. It was only a matter of time he moved on from Arsenal. This season, the London club has improved dramatically, with the fourth spot still up for grabs. However, it is clear that the Celtic academy graduate is destined for bigger and better.

Real Madrid has been reportedly interested in the player. Tierney has been identified as a suitable replacement for Marcelo. Now, fellow La Liga side Barcelona are interested in bringing the left-back to the Camp Nou. [Cule Mania]

It is no secret the trouble Barcelona are in. The team ar currently playing Europa League football and is now 15th points adrift of the top spot. Of course, they also are in great financial difficulties. Bringing the player to Spain would be costly. The defender is contracted until 2026 and is a star player; Arsenal would not sell the player for a cut price.

Celtic are reported to benefit from the deal. The Parkhead side will receive around 15% of the fee with the Scottish international does move on.

It’s great to see a former player and academy graduate do well in Europe. Hopefully, he gets the big move he deserves.

  1. All about the money for Tierney.

What ever side ponies up the most cash is where he’ll end up badge kissing and talking up the ‘fantastic support’.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up in China or the MSL. I hear the money available there is ridiculous, and badge kissing is recognisable in any language.
