It has been a long time coming, the return of the already iconic Kieran Tierney. Celtic fans have had to suffer without their hero since December. Not only did KT return to action today, but he also exited the tunnel at Paradise leading the team while wearing the captain’s armband.
Johnny Hayes put in a good shift at left-back in Tierney’s absence on Thursday night and he replaced the Celtic captain today just after the hour mark. Tierney left the park to a standing ovation and he was quick to send a message to the support via his social media.
Thank you for the reception! It’s class to be back ✊?? pic.twitter.com/cYXYsd15su

Tierney was rightly enraged when Motherwell cheated and robbed a goal and clean sheet from the Celtic defence and Scott Bain. The main thing is that he got some game time under his belt and he put in a good shift today. Celtic will need him for the final quarter of the season as the Hoops chase down two more trophies that will unlock “Treble, Treble” status.
