HUGH KEEVINS has tonight added some flesh to the story of Timo Weah being shown the door at Celtic Park and fans may have jumped the gun on hitting out at Neil Lennon.

According to Keevins on Friday nights Superscoreboard at 6:50pm the pundit made the claim that a compromise had been reached between Celtic and the USA team which would have allowed Timo to head out after this Sunday’s game at Ibrox and join his International side BUT he could return in the week running up to the Scottish Cup final – missing the USA’s World Cup opener.

The pundit claims Timo Weah shot down the idea at which point Neil Lennon told the American he could leave Lennoxtown immediately if he was not going to be part of the cup final team.

If this is true it would exonerate Neil of the earlier accusation by fans that he was somewhat out of order for making the attacking midfielder leave so suddenly.
