TIMOTHY WEAH has been speaking about his time at Celtic so far and what the future may hold for the attacking star once his loan deal finishes at the end of the season.

Weah was only given a six-month loan deal with Celtic with many speculating this could turn into an overall 18-month deal should the player and club hit it off.

Weah started his Celtic loan deal very positively but has been in the background for the past month after managerial upheaval. Since Neil Lennon has come in, the American hasn’t had a start yet.

There is no doubt the bhoy is talented and he’s already won points for Celtic this season. It’s hard to get a chance in that part of the pitch with so many in-form players vying for the same position.

However, when asked by Leparisien how his deal was going and if he is enjoying his time with Celtic, the attacker was very positive.

“It’s going very well. The players and the coach accepted me very quickly. The integration was easy, because I speak English.

“I continue to speak French with Odsonne Edouard, Dedryck Boyata, Olivier Ntcham

“There is an amazing atmosphere at the stadium. In Paris it’s a bit the same, but there’s something different at Celtic Park, which is an old stadium. I have never seen this. The team is running well. I’m happy to be there; it’s a very good choice.”

Asked where he sees himself next season, Weah was coy but doesn’t rule out an extended loan move to Celtic.

“We never know, we’ll see after the season. We will talk about it with Badou.”

Asked if a permanent move away from PSG was likely after seeing some of PSGs younger players take that route in the past year, Timo wasn’t leaving anything off the table.

“Frankly I do not know. Everyone has their life. I think it was good for them. For now, I’m not sure what I’ll do; we’ll discuss it.”

Would you like to see Celtic land Timo for longer or even on a permanent deal?
