CELTIC and Lille played out a pulsating 2-2 draw on Thursday night in the Europa League.

The Scottish Champions shocked many by taking a two goal lead in the first half. Lille would come back very strong in the second half and score two goals of their own to make it a draw on the night.

Given nobody was giving Celtic a chance ahead of this tie, the point in France should be seen as a positive but there is an element of what could have been.

One man who got onto the pitch in the second half was for Celtic player Timo Weah. He couldn’t help his side get a winner in the end and after the game he messaged the official Celtic Instagram with a message which will likely go down well among the support.

‘Love you always’ was the message. The midfielder clearly still smitten with the club after his loan spell two seasons ago which only last five months in the end.

His enthusiasm at the time was infection and Timo made a big impact on the support while at the club.

He’ll be returning to Glasgow for the reverse fixture before Christmas.
