So that’s the second best team in Scotland easily disposed of. You would never have known that the Bhoys had played in Milan only three days ago.

Not exactly straight out the blocks as I would have liked but still no silly mistakes. Once again the pundits, this time on Sky, had described us as being outclassed. Somehow I think they will be eating their words.

jason-denayer-celtic-goal-scottish-premiership_3271101Without breaking a sweat, Denayer headed the first goal before half time. Giving the Dons some hope going into the second half, Celtic wasted no time in quashing their spirits when Griffiths added a second from the spot and then was sunbed for Guidetti. A loose ball in midfield picked up by GMS and he wasted no time in getting his shot away and found the bottom corner to make it 3 and put the game beyond any doubt. At this point Aberdeen were down and out and all over the place. With a ball down the right and the Aberdeen back line appearing to have forgotten the offside rule Matthews coasted down the right and cut back for Johansen to side foot into the bottom left hand corner to end the game at 4-0.

We had many other chances to score, Guidetti the main culprit for failing to convert. Many 3 on 1 chances he failed to capitalise on. Derek McInnes finally put a centre half on after the fourth goal went in and went for damage limitation.

Fitness is proving key for us now and it’s clear to see. Teams can’t cope with the fact that we will run twice as much as them. This Celtic team have youth on their side and seemed to have all bought into Ronny’s plan. Be prepared for domestic domination for years to come.
