Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that the club have accepted a bid for attacking-midfielder Tom Rogic.

Reported by the Daily Record, the Aussie fans favourite has been linked with a move away to Qatar in the last couple of weeks. It is not quite clear, if that would be the destination of his possible next move but it is thought to be likely.

However, a twist in tale is that Lennon has not fully shutdown the possibility of Rogic staying at the club, insisting new midfielder David Turnbull is not here to replace him and there are still talks on-going between the player and the club.

“Negotiations are ongoing with Tom. We have accepted a bid.

“He is not fit at the moment, he has a slight ankle problem, but whether he stays or goes… David Turnbull coming in doesn’t affect Tom’s role.”

As Lennon mentions, currently Rogic is out of the side with an ankle injury. This has been a bit of a problem during his tenure at the club. His fitness doesn’t seem to stay at a top level for a long period of time.

This may have a factor as to why he may be moving on. One thing is for sure though, the 27-year old will be missed massively by the majority of fans. Over the years he has scored some crucial goals for the club and will be remembered for years to come.
