Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has provided fans with an update on the fitness of Hoops midfielder Tom Rogic after being brought off before the break.

Postecoglou confirmed in his press conference this afternoon that the Australian attacking-midfielder will be missing from action for the next 2-3 weeks due to the hamstring injury he picked up at Easter Road.

The 28-year old has been a key figure in the Celtic side so far this campaign, creating a good partnership alongside Callum McGregor and David Turnbull.

He started in Wednesday night’s 3-1 win over Hibernian and was producing one of his best performances of the season in the first 30 minutes of the game.

However, he was hit with the blow of picking up a hamstring injury, and Ange will now need to look to other options in the middle of the park in the next few weeks.

The versatile Nir Bitton will likely be the one to take his place, slotting into the position just in front of the defence, with Callum McGregor taking up a more advanced role in midfield.

Fingers crossed there are no complications in his return from injury, and we can see the Australian coming back into the side as soon as possible.
