TOM ROGIC has revealed that he isn’t planning a move back to Australia’s top flight after the club confirmed his Celtic departure on Friday.

After nine years at the club, the midfielder has decided that his Parkhead career is over.

He leaves with supporters’ best wishes. He’s been a stand out player over the years, bringing many memories to the Celtic fans. To thank the WIzard of Oz, Celtic fans gave the midfielder a minute clap in the 18th minute.

However, despite the belief that Tom is homesick and is lining up a move down under, the player has said that this is ‘unlikely’, but he states he is still to sit down with his agent to discuss his future.

“Probably yeah, that seems unlikely,” he noted when questioned about a move home. [The Scotsman]

“I’ll sit down with my agent in the coming weeks and discuss my options.”

Tom will likely move closer to home, with the Aussie international likely to play in Asia in the coming months. Just turning 29, the midfielder still has plenty to offer on the park.

  1. It now looks as if it is Celtic rather than the players themselves who decided that Rogic & Bitton’s time was up.
Just don’t see the logic when we have a raft of players we should be getting rid of before these two who are still big contributors to the team.
Need to show the door to Ajeti, Soro, Bain, Barkas, Hazard, McCarthy, Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Bolingoli-id like Dembele & Jullien to stay but looks like they have no future under Ange.
