CALLUM MCGREGOR has credited his teammate Tom Rogic for bridging the gap between the players and the manager since Ange Postecoglou took over at the club back last summer.

Tom knew all about Ange before the manager touched down in Glasgow. The pair had gone through plenty together with the Socceroos over the years.

Having a familiar face in the building and a fellow Australian would have been a help to Ange, especially in his early days in Glasgow.

The Celtic captain basically confirms that theory – revealing Tom helps with the nuances and messages Ange puts out there

“He’s a top guy, top footballer as well. Great personality. I’ve known him for best part of eight to nine years now and we’ve had some amazing times together on and off the pitch. He’s a great character.” Callum told Australian publications KeepUp.

“He’s been hugely important this season in terms of being that bridge between that manager. He’s helped drip feed the message, always keeping us (informed) on what he wants, the small details he wants to see around the training ground.

Celtic are on the cusp of taking back their SPFL title at the first time of asking. Something that was never really expected of them this season.

It’s testament to Ange, Callum and the whole ensemble for the hard work and incredible consistency they have shown in the league after a shaky start.

29 games unbeaten in the SPFL at this point, spanning three Glasgow derbies and trips to Tynecastle and Pittodrie. It’s been an amazing season and the fans want to see the bhoys get over the line so the partying can begin.
