Tommy Gravesen stole the spotlight on Danish television last night, not just for his fury at Denmark’s performance, but for the fact that he delivered his rant while proudly wearing a signed Celtic shirt.
The former Hoops midfielder was analysing Denmark’s dramatic 4–2 defeat to Scotland, a game that saw Kieran Tierney curl home a stunning 94th-minute strike before Kenny McLean sealed it from the halfway line.

But Gravesen, who won 66 caps for his country across the World Cup and two Euros, was far from impressed with his national team or manager Brian Riemer.
Despite making less than 30 Celtic appearances between 2006 and 2008, Gravesen remains a cult figure at Parkhead thanks to his larger-than-life personality.
Every ex-player who has a story about their time at the club, Tommy will end up being involved in somehow.
Live on air, wearing the Hoops, he tore into Denmark’s approach:
“The approach that Brian Riemer has had to the two matches has been a disaster.
“He has underestimated an opponent and set up his team completely wrong.
“As a national coach, you have to play with the best players – there is no one to spare.
“For me, Brian Riemer has been a giant failure and a huge disaster.
“He has failed on all parameters.
“It came to light in the ugliest way I’ve ever seen.
“It is simply unacceptable.”
Gravesen’s TV outburst, delivered while clad in Celtic colours, has already caught the attention of Hoops fans online.
Almost two decades on from leaving Celtic, Tommy G is still making headlines in Glasgow.
Denmark will now have to go through the qualifiers in March if they want to make the World Cup next summer. They head straight into pot 1 of the draw.
Scotland, meanwhile, will look to play some friendlies and start their preparations for the tournament across the pond.
