After Massimo Donati signed for Hamilton Accies yesterday another former Celt could be heading back to Scotland. This time it’s Barcelona’s conquerer, Tony Watt who is attracting interest from Hearts.

Since that fateful night at Celtic Park the striker has played for FIVE different clubs with more than one manager sighting the players attitude towards training as a big problem.

He is still a Charlton player, however, last season he was loaned out to Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers. With Charlton having no plans for the Scottish frontman, Hearts have stepped in and are looking into a potential season-long loan.

It would be a sensational return to Scottish football and add more spice to this season’s SPFL campaign. Many Celtic fans may shudder at the thought of him in a Hearts jersey but the player must do what’s best for his career.

He may have downed Barcelona once but that moment seems to have done his own career harm in the long run with the expectation so great since he latched onto a Fraser Forster kick out and slotted it past Victor Valdes.
