Celtic have been linked with several goalkeepers in the past two weeks — speculation has intensified since Fraser Forster’s future looks far from certain.
One man who has been linked with replacing the English goalkeeper if he doesn’t return to Celtic is a David Marshall.
The former Celtic youth product left The club a long time ago in search of first team football and has carved out a good career for himself south of the border.
David is now 35 and currently playing for Wigan who have gone into administration.
According to HeraldSport, the English side would be willing to take a cut fee for David to make a return to the club where his career started and the goalkeeper is ‘keen’ on a move back to Glasgow.
Celtic fans are less than impressed by the potential move and many would see a signing like this as a replacement for Craig Gordon rather than Fraser Forster.
Scott Bain is Celtic’s only first team goalkeeper at the moment.
Ok so that would mean we would have two back up goalies.Still need a No1
