Top Scottish journalist Alan Nixon has named three names who Celtic have had a chat or will have a chat with about the vacant managerial position at the club.
Asked who he thought was in the running for the job, Nixon replied:
Keane Howe and maybe Wilder will have a chat … net could get wider … and surely you need a director of football to be part of this process. https://t.co/DzOPe6VPzU

He also made the worrying admission it’s all the old guard having a say in who gets the job with a lack of Director of football.
Right now the old regime is picking a boss … when it was meant to be a change … the director of football is a missing link … and should surely be done first. Doesn’t seem to be the case as it stands. https://t.co/pGEXZsZ2Le

If the DoF is the route Celtic want to go down then they must have that man in place and then have a say in who’s going to be the next person in the dugout.
Fergal Harkin has been the most prominent name in the running but we’ve had no confirmation he is the man for the job.
The slow and painful process for Celtic fans is exacerbated by the club’s silence. Season ticket holders will start receiving their renewal forms next month, will they finally show their hand? Or is this saga set to continue further down the line.
Hey ho, another decision-making experience, and of course the issue is that Celtic is behind it. If any club is tedious when it comes to decision making then Celtic is top of the league. Not a good feeling as we stagger from problem to problem, finding the backroom team to lead us onwards and upwards. HH
