There have been online reports Celtic are ready to take a fresh look at World Cup star Milad Mohammadi as the player enters the last six months of his contract.

The left-sided player can play both left back and left wing and would fit perfectly into Celtic’s side.

However, if Celtic were to make a move it would surely mean the end for Emilio Izaguirre who rejoined the bhoys this summer after a year away.

Izzy is only one a short contract that finishes this summer and has only started three games, the club may look to let him go for a second time.

Anyone coming in on the left hand side has to compete with Kieran Tierney but if the Milad can perfect the wing back position he could be a viable alternative for the Celtic superstar to either rest him or play back up.

Mohammadi, 25, played in Iran’s World Cup games last summer which seen them draw with Portugal and beat Morocco.

The player will be out of contract in the summer when his deal with Akhmat Grozny comes to an end where Celtic could pick Milad up for nothing.
