“We’ve completed a deal for Liam Shaw, he’s signed a pre-contract.” Neil Lennon told SunSport.
“So that’s done and we are looking ahead. We’ve got a bit of work to do.”
48 hours after Neil Lennon revealed the news, we have yet to get an official communication from the club about a deal for Shaw.
While the central midfielder still belongs to Sheffield Wednesday until the summer, if the deal has been done, there’s absolutely no reason not to announce the deal.
Given what happened with Ben Davies, many Celtic fans won’t believe it until they see the official website confirming it, even though the Celtic manager told the media.
What’s the hold up?
With Celtic putting a winning run together, it would be a good idea to add to the momentum by confirming we are planning for next season and Shaw has been procured.
