REPORTS in France suggest Celtic are getting serious on bringing Odsonne Edouard to the club on a full time basis.

The player has been told his chances at PSG are more than limited and he should be looking at what’s next.

PSG’s team of millionaires means it’s going to be hard for anybody to breakthrough from the youth system when the chequebook comes out.

This leaves Celtic in a great position, not only to sign the striker but to get Osdonne at a reasonable price.

Since the Frenchman’s loan move a fee of around £7million was thought to be the asking price Celtic would have to pay this summer.

However, Brendan Rodgers revealed in an interview last week that Edouard’s buy out clause was lower than reports suggested even though he wouldn’t divulge the actual price.

It seems like Rodgers is already preparing for next season and he hopes to have the big striker as part of his plans, instructing the board to open dialogue with the French outfit.

The strikers Ibrox heroics have made him a fan favourite but he’s still got a long way to go before he could be considered Celtic’s main striker.
