CELTIC look set to go back in for Motherwell goalkeeper Trever Carson after having their first bid thrown out yesterday for the Northern Irishman.
Brendan Rodgers needs to land a goalkeeper before the window closes having only one fit senior goalkeeper in the squad at the moment.
With Craig Gordon out for three months and Conor Hazard on-loan at Falkirk, it has not become a priority to make sure they have another man between the sticks to call on.
Rodgers was impressed with the 29-year-old when he came up against Celtic three games in a row last year and believes he would be a good backup for Dorus de Vries.
Dorus is seen as the number one goalkeeper and anyone being brought in would be playing backup.
After their 200k bid was rejected, the club are expected to go back in again with a higher sum.
