DEADLINE DAY IS LOOMING.

Brendan Rodgers has admitted his frustration at not being able to get deals over the line in this window so far.

The Irishman who secured Eboue Kouassi earlier in the window has been met with resistance in his attempts to strengthen his already strong squad.

According to reports in Africa, Celtic have placed a fresh bid for Henry Onyekuru ahead of the deadline tomorrow in the hope of securing the players signature.

With time against the deal happening there is still some hope from Celtic that a deal can be struck with AS Eupen who still want the striker to head to Russia in a more financially rewarding deal.

Away from that deal, it has been revealed that Chelsea are trying their best to tempt Celtic and Craig Gordon to do a deal.

The Celtic goalkeeper who is open to a move to Stamford Bridge is waiting to see if Celtic will let him talk to the London club.

We understand that the bid for Gordon is in the region of £4million – a bid that if it had come in the summer, Celtic would have taken.

Circumstances have changed now and Rodgers sees Gordon as pivotal going forward after the De Vries experiment. With no time to get a replacement, Chelsea would have to go above and beyond to get their back up goalkeeper.

Keep up to date with tomorrow’s deadline with Celtsarehere!
