BRENDAN RODGERS has hinted that both Jack Hendry and Lewis Morgan will be loaned out before the end of the month so they both can get experience playing first team football in the second half of the season.

Both players have found game time hard to come by and with Rodgers bulking up his squad ahead of the season, there’s going to be even less room for them to make an impact.

With that in mind, Rodgers has no qualms about sending his young players out on-loan especially as he has a player in Ryan Christie who is the perfect example of a player who put in the work elsewhere to make the breakthrough at Celtic Park.

It’s vital these lads get playing and with Hibs linked with Morgan and Hendry linked with a move down south, it’s the perfect time to let them go and spread their wings.

Speaking about both players Rodgers told the Scotsman “Lewis just joined the club in the last six months,”

“You saw it with Ryan Christie, a perfect example of if you’re not ready now you can go away on a good loan or a couple of loans and when you come back in and you get your opportunity you’ve got to take it.”

“It’s just about time. When you think of Jack coming in a year ago it was a steep learning curve for him, playing under big pressure and big games.

“What he has is potential because there are a lot of really good things to his game and of course when you make mistakes at the big clubs then of course it gets highlighted even more.
