Celtic safely made their way to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup in Saturday night with a 2-1 win over Partick Thistle.
The draw for the next round will be made late afternoon on Sunday but the TV cameras at the Dundee Utd vs Hibernian game have got tongues wagging online.
Former Celtic player and current talent scout Tosh McKinlay was pictured on the BBC Scotland cameras taking in the cup tie between the two sides. This could be innocuous but the fact Nicky Hammond was also seen at Dundee Utd’s game against Partick Thistle last week it lends credence to the theory we’re looking at someone.
The obvious player would be Lawrence Shankland who’s scoring goals for fun but it wouldn’t fit Celtic’s current tact this window. Having already brought in a striker, it would be strange if the club were sounding out another one.
Wonder who Tosh McKinlay is watching?

Tosh McKinlay spotted at Tannadice yet again. Can just see we’re going to sign Shankland this window

The flip side of things would be that Nicky Hammond was at the last game to scout Celtic’s cup opponents and Tosh’s appearance today is unrelated meaning it could be a Hibs player Celtic are looking at.
If there’s anything in it, we’ll find out before too long. There’s less than two weeks of the window left and Celtic would need to show their hand very quickly.
