It’s Christmas!!!
While that means everyone is getting ready for Santa coming down the chimney it also means that it’s nearly January and with that comes the transfer window.
Speculation has already started on who Celtic are in the market for, some lower league players, some SPFL stars and now the glorious return of the Alfred Finnbogason to Celtic link.
Celtic and the striker have been doing a merry dance for years, well, that’s what the media say anyway. The Scottish Champions seemingly tried to sign the player numerous times while he was at Heerenveen but were priced out of a deal. The Icelandic hitman was prolific for the dutch side scoring 53 goals in 65 appearances.
He finally got a big money move to Real Sociedad in 2014 but has found game time and goals hard to come by. He is currently on-loan at Olympiacos but his parent club Sociedad are looking to move the player on permanently sooner rather than later.
This has lead to speculation today that Celtic will try and entice the player to Parkhead where he could kick-start his career after the nightmare he’s had in Spain.
